A welcome rebound, but outlook is still uncertain

US stock exchanges continued their positive performance last week. For the broad S&P 500 index, the result was a gain of more than 2%. Data pointing to continued falling inflation and a weaker labour market in the United States fuelled the stock market. Inflation statistics for October reinforce SEB’s view that the Federal Reserve is now finished with its key interest rate hikes. Long-term US bond yields also fell somewhat. Stockholm share price indices and the Stoxx Europe 600 index climbed even more than the S&P 500 during November 10-17.
