The quarterly report season is coming to an end. Even though companies have reported earnings exceeding expectations, stock markets overall have not climbed from previous levels. Strong results had probably already been partially priced in, and companies’ earlier forecasts were not too optimistic. In Sweden, the OMXS30 large cap index fell by 1.33% while America’s broad S&P 500 index closed 0.80% lower and the Stoxx Europe 600 lost 0.29% between April 28 and May 5. This week we look at the real estate sector, China’s recovery and exciting new inflation figures from abroad.
